Educational Values
As a community, Chaldean value both business and
education. While the majority are entrepreneurs in the retail
food business, the community can boast scores of attorneys,
physicians, engineers, teachers, and other professionals.
First, second, and third generations are branching out in all
walks of life. To encourage even greater excellence and
achievement in education, the Chaldean Federation of America,
the umbrella organization for the community, provides several
scholarship awards for college-bound high school seniors and
post-graduate students. Each year nearly one-third of all
Chaldean graduates achieve scholarship status. Today males
and females equally are seeking college and graduate school
educations and professional careers.
